Maximising
the potential of Indigenous students presents a constant
challenge to educators. Very often students and parents
are not familiar with the necessary steps to take in
order to pursue an education and a long term career.
With low UAI's in the HSC in past years, it is critical
to support parents and students as they plan for their
future.
By
sharing knowledge of education pathways and employment
potential we can assist Indigenous families make choices
that will of benefit.
The "Look, Listen & Learn" Conference
is a crucial means of sharing a story of hope for the
future. It is anticipated that participants will gain
confidence in choosing a career by becoming familiar
with educational pathways which will lead to various
types of employment.
I welcome all participants and their families. I feel
confident you will find the information you receive
at the "Look, Listen & Learn" Conference
both helpful an informative.
I wish you well as you choose your pathways and journey
towards a rewarding career.
