History of Little Malaya
Little Malaya was first established in May 1990.
 
Some 11 years down the track and Little Malaya is still going as strong as ever,
expanding some three times to keep up with public demand.  

The Coolangatta Chamber of Commerce has presented them with many awards.  1996 Restaurant of the Year,  Finalist in Business Growth Award, 1997 Finalist Restaurant of the Year,  1997 Winner Business of the year award, 1998 Excellence in Hospitality Finalist in Restaurant of the year, 1999 Inducted in the Wall Of Fame. 

Tony is an expert in cooking Seafood, Live Mud Crabs, Lobster, Moreton Bay Bugs and Whole fish so if it is seafood you want, call in and Tony will give you an eating experience to remember.  

The great Wall of Little Malaya is the biggest talking point of the restaurant. Leearna's stepfather Peter Wolf Shanzy (an award winning architect) designed and personally cut every piece by hand. Peter lost his battle to cancer 15 months ago but Leearna believes he still lives on in the wall, as he was a legend.
