The Aussie Gateways project has progressed to the stage where we have completed the six workshops planned for the Northern Rivers region and as such have collected very valuable data in regard to future marketing of the region. Results of the project evaluation surveys and the data gathering for media preferences have been collated and combined into percentage averages for the region.

 All of the results recorded have been taken into consideration when planning and implementing media promotions for both the Northern Rivers and Southern Gold Coast regions. We are very grateful to the workshop participants and other operators who have completed "media preference" forms for us. It is in this way that we can respond to the wishes of operators and develop campaigns that reflect what is desired by those who are directly involved in the regional tourism industry.  
 

Be assured that all information gathered will be used as we continue to place media schedules. There will be times when the Northern Rivers commercial is on air in one region and the Southern Gold Coast commercial is on air in a totally different region. This will only benefit accesses to the portal by reaching a large number of viewers and encouraging them to access the Aussie Gateways portal for specific holiday information and accommodation bookings.
