Media Launch Twin Towns - The Stars Room

The Southern Gold Coast Media Campaign was launched at The Stars Room, Twin Towns Ex-Services Club on Wednesday, March, 13th, 2002.
Local members of the Aussie Gateways network and accompanying guests gathered to view the television commercials and celebrate the launch of the first Southern Gold Coast cooperative media campaign.
 

A power point presentation was given to show the results of surveys gathered at workshops and collected from individual tourism industry operators in the region. The preferred focus of the commercials was "rest and relaxation," "family activities" and a "clean and green natural environment." Hence, each commercial reflected these very positive aspects of holidaying on the Southern Gold Coast.
Time for valuable networking was made available on the night and all feedback received in relation to the television commercials and media strategies was very positive. This was most encouraging to hear.
Following the official launch, NBN produced a news story on the Aussie Gateways project and the Southern Gold Coast media campaign. Also, a twenty minute, live radio interview with Leon Delaney at Radio 97 was recorded on the day following the launch.
