Successful
Campaign into New Zealand
The Aussie Gateways portal received an excellent response from the New
Zealand market in November 2002 after placing advertisements
in a special feature within “The Press Christchurch” Newspaper. This cooperative
campaign drew attention to the Southern Gold Coast & Northern Rivers
regions and was used to launch Freedom Air’s direct Christchurch to Gold
Coast route. The Aussie Gateways portal received 4 775 accesses from New
Zealand in the week beginning November 24th 2002, corresponding with the
release of this campaign. This was a significant increase when compared
to our usual figures. Please check your own web stats for a correlation
between significant increases on Aussie Gateways and increased accesses
to your own sites. We would be very happy to receive feedback from you
in relation to this particular campaign. By working together in this way,
we can decide where best to invest advertising funds so that all of our
members benefit.
Locals’
Card
The radio promotions aired through Radio 97, Tweed Heads and 2GF Grafton
were successful in explaining the Locals’ Card conceptand gaining exposure
for it. Now we would like to move into the second phase which is to draw
more attention to the establishments offering discounts for local people.
As such, we are using radio again to promote the “deals” offered by Aussie
Gateways members to local people. If you chose to be part of this campaign
and have changed your special offer; or, have not yet advised us of your
special offer, please let us know asap so that we can incorporate it into
the next group of radio commercials.
