Aussie
Gateways Media Campaigns Launched...
Media Launch at Twin Towns Services Club,
Tweed Heads on March 14, 2002
The
Aussie Gateways Media Campaigns encouraging families to plan
a holiday to the East Coast regions of The Northern Rivers
NSW and Southern Gold Coast Qld have officially been launched.
Key
components of the media campaigns are 30 and 15 second television
commercials, print media advertising and the internet portal
named Aussie Gateways. This portal directs potential visitors
to the web sites of accommodation centres, restaurants, tour
operators and attractions so that bookings can be made directly
with tourism industry operators in the Northern Rivers and
Southern Gold Coast regions.
The
television commercials have been produced by Aussie Gateways
managers Mark & Lisa Russell. Each commercial showcases
the natural and man-made attractions in the Northern Rivers
& Southern Gold Coast region. Data gathered from tourism
industry operators was used to determine the focus of each
commercial. "By gathering the ideas and opinions of people
directly involved in the tourism industry we have been able
to produce commercials that depict the area as a perfect place
for families to enjoy fun-filled holidays in a relaxed coastal
atmosphere," said Lisa Russell.
All
promotional material within the Aussie Gateways Media Campaigns
has been financed by contributions from members of the Aussie
Gateways network. "By working together in a cooperative
campaign setting we have been able to produce good quality
promotional material that reflects the beauty and relaxed
atmosphere of this beautiful Region," said Project Manager,
Mark Russell. Television commercials have been telecast into
the Toowoomba and Tamworth regions and future schedules are
planned for the Newcastle and Canberra areas. As the network
grows promotion of the Northern Rivers and Southern Gold Coast
regions will also take place in New Zealand and throughout
Asia.
