 The official launch and information night was held at Ocean Shores Country Club on the July 21, 2001. This was the first session of the Aussie Gateways Project. The aim was to inform tourism industry operators about the project and encourage them to attend workshops which will be held in Tweed Heads, Ballina, Lismore, Yamba, Hastings Point and Casino during the ensuing months.
